Icod de los Vinos
Icod de los Vinos is a place where history, wine tradition, and nature merge. It boasts the privilege of being home to one of the island’s most emblematic natural symbols, the Millennial Dragon Tree.
This specimen of “Dracaena draco” was declared a National Monument in 1917 and is considered the largest and oldest of its species. It is located in the Parque del Drago botanical sanctuary, a refuge for flora endemic to the Canary Islands.
The municipality also forges its identity around the vine. Its unique terrain, with rich volcanic soil and a favourable climate, are the pillars of a deep-rooted wine-making tradition. This legacy has placed the area under the Ycoden-Daute-Isora Designation of Origin, a mark of quality that invites you to savour the soul of this land in every glass.
